His film, “Note By Note (The Making of Steinway L1037),” (IFP 2005) won top honors at the Sarasota Film Festival, was nominated for an IDA award and selected to the prestigious American Film Showcase, and has screened in over 30 countries. Molly earned her MS from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and her BA from the University of Virginia.
MOLLY RASKIN SERIES
She’s currently producing a medical documentary series for MSNBC. Since 2011, Molly has been producing stories in East and West Africa – reporting on topics including poaching, terrorism and the health crisis in Liberia before Ebola.

She also serves on the advisory board of Strong Minds, a non-profit group treating depression in Uganda. For her health coverage Molly has been honored with a 2007 Rosalynn Carter Fellowship for Mental Health Journalism and the 2010 American Psychoanalytic Association’s Award for Excellence in Journalism. Her work has appeared in numerous publications including Scientific American Mind, Global Post and Psychology Today. Molly writes frequently about health and science, with a special interest in psychology and global health. She is also author of the book “No Better Time The Brief, Remarkable Life of Danny Lewin, the Genius Who Transformed the Internet” (Da Capo Press, 2013), and producer of the independent documentary film “Still We Rise” about a group of health workers in Liberia, West Africa.
